Injection Mould Cleaning

These cleaners are aimed at Mould cleaning, Extrusion, Die Casting and Press Tools ranging in size from 30 to 3000 Litres.

Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning

The Kemet BT range of industrial cleaners range from 200 litres, 400 Litres , 600 litres and 650 Litre tanks.

Semi Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning

The semi industrial (Si series) of ultrasonic cleaners are more robust ultrasonic cleaners, ranging in size from 25 Litres to 160 Litres.

Laboratory Ultrasonic Cleaning

The Laboratory range of Cleaners (L series) has tank volumes from 2.3 litres to 8 Litres.

The Kemet MC range of Mould Cleaning systems can be used with Extrusion, Die-Casting and Press Tools to remove plastic and rubber residues.

Previously cleaning involved a manual process involving abrasives. Not only was this time consuming but abrasion could cause damage to precision edges, profiles and surfaces.

The Kemet ultrasonic Mould Cleaning systems use an aqueous process which "searches" the intricate areas of the tooling. Since no solvents are used, the process is better for personnel and the environment.

The Kemet BT range is a unique possibility to customise the ultrasonic tank to your specific dimensions – with tank volumes up to 650 Litres. The ultrasonic power modules remove contamination effectively and cut time spent on cleaning. Some of the BT range are shown below:

The Kemet semi-industrial (Si models) ultrasonic cleaning tanks are constructed from stainless steel are designed for heavy duty operation. Cleaner tank volumes range from 25 litres (Si-40), 40 Litres (Si-40), 80 litres (Si-80), 120 Litres (Si-120) and 160 litres (Mi-160). All tanks have these characteristics:

• Powerful ultrasonics for good cleaning
• Thermostatically controlled indirect heating (heating panels in side walls)
• Floor sloping to drain valve
• Built-in ultrasonic generator
• Electronic controls with digital time / temperature display

The bench mounted range of Kemet Laboratory cleaners (L model) include the L3 (2.7 litres) ultrasonic cleaner and the L8 (7.5 litres) ultrasonic cleaner. Both are made from stainless steel. The temperature and treatment times are easily adjusted with an electronic control panel. Typical cleaning times vary from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. The treatment time can be stored in the control panel and restarted.

The L3B (2.7 Litres) is a quality budget model with a mechanical timer.

The picture shows an Si-40 ultrasonic cleaning tank and Si-40dr hot air dryer (right) mounted on a stainless steel stand. This solvent free bench top cleaning system is just one example of the modular flexible range available.
The Si40dr dryer is constructed from stainless steel with thermal insulation, thermostatic temperature control (80C maximum), hot air re-circulating oven design and incorporates a safety thermostat.

Kemet offer a "SBT" automatic transport system for their ultrasonic cleaning tanks. The SBT transport system takes the basket through the stages and then back to the loading / unloading station. The system has all the advantages of bench top mounted ultrasonic cleaner tanks, but eliminating the labour time involved in moving components from one tank to the next. Characteristics include:

• Electronically driven vertical and horizontal movement
• Up to 8 stages of washing, rinsing and drying

Kemet offer the finest in biodegradable cleaning fluids. These are specialist formulated concentrated detergents available in neutral, alkaline and acid types. The detergents work in two ways:-

• Reduces surface tension and intensifies ultrasonic cavitation
• Dissolves and binds the dirt which has been loosened by the ultrasonics.

Type A9 – General purpose, lightly alkaline detergent suitable for all metals. Available in 20kg containers

Type A – General purpose, alkaline detergent suitable for all steels. Available in 1, 5 and 25 Litre containers.

Type H14 – Strong Alkaline detergent suitable for mould cleaning – carbon removal and on steels, glass / ceramics. Available in 20Kg containers.

Type N – General purpose neutral detergent suitable for all materials including plastic. Available in 1 and 30 Litre containers.

Type I – Acidic detergent suitable for rust and oxide removal on all materials. Restores white ceramics. Available in 20 Kg.

M99 – Dewatering solutions which removes water moisture and protects. Available in 20Kg containers.

A cleaning and degreasing fluid with many of the performance characteristics of 1.1.1 Trichloroethane, but without the ozone depleting properties.

Effectiveness
CO-42 cuts through contamination such as lapping and polishing residue, grease, oils and general surface contamination.

Evaporation
CO-42 is relatively quick drying, but not so fast as to leave dried staining on the surfaces of products. The controlled wetting and evaporation properties of CO-42 make it extremely versatile and efficient.

Versatility
Able to act as an extremely efficient cleaning agent for all metals, most plastics, ceramics, glass and similar materials.

Kemet C70 is a solvent cleaning and degreasing fluid with all of the characteristics needed to remove grease, oil and residues from parts. It is supplied in a pressurised container complete with detachable extended spray tube for reaching into the most difficult areas.
